Be sure to clean up the soiled area immediately and remove any scent so the puppy does not think that is the place to go. Yelling at the dog after they have a mistake inside does nothing but hurt their feelings, they need to be caught in the act in order to get it through to them. Give them a treat when they go outside and tell them they are a good dog. When they receive a treat for when they go outside, it will make them want to keep going outside to get more treats.
